Academy FAQ's
Mr Beautox Aesthetics

Where Questions Meet Clear, Honest Answers

Do you help with choosing the right course?

Yes. If you are unsure which course best matches your background, current experience or treatment goals, get in touch before booking. We can guide you towards the most suitable training option and advise whether any pre-course preparation may be needed.

Can complete beginners enrol?

Some courses may be suitable for beginners if the entry requirements are met. Others are designed for practitioners who already have relevant experience, such as aesthetics, microneedling, injectable treatments, phlebotomy, beauty therapy or a healthcare background. Because our courses involve practical clinical skills, suitability is assessed by course type. If you are unsure, please contact us before booking.

What courses do you currently offer?

Our current academy syllabus focuses on non-POM aesthetics and regenerative treatment training. Current courses include: Dermal Filler Foundation 1-2-1 Training, PRP & Phlebotomy Foundation 1-2-1 Training, Skin Boosters & Polynucleotides 1-2-1 Training, Phlebotomy Foundation 1-2-1 Training.

We do not currently offer Botox, anti-wrinkle/toxin, prescribing or other prescription-only medicine courses.

What are the entry requirements?

Entry requirements vary depending on the course. In most cases, learners should hold a minimum of Beauty Level 3, Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology, or have an equivalent relevant background. Relevant backgrounds may include aesthetics, healthcare, microneedling, injectable treatments, beauty therapy, phlebotomy or similar clinical/practical experience. If you do not yet hold Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology or Beauty Level 3, our A&P Readiness Module may be completed first, unless the individual course states otherwise. Some courses may still require previous practical or injectable experience. If you are unsure whether you meet the requirements, please get in touch before booking.

Is the academy an approved CPD provider?

Yes. We are an approved CPD provider registered with The CPD Group #789549. The clinic is also proud to hold 100% 5-star Google reviews.

Is the training 1-to-1 or in a group?

All training is delivered on a 1-to-1 basis. This allows for personalised teaching, close supervision, individual feedback and a more focused learning experience.

Where is the training held?

Training is delivered at our main clinic in Worthing, West Sussex, in a real treatment environment rather than a classroom-only setting.

What does the course fee include?

Course fees include teaching, course materials, practical supervision, model experience where applicable, practical assessment and your CPD certificate.

Some courses may also include additional resources, templates or starter guidance depending on the training booked.

Will there be hands-on practical training?

Yes. Practical training is a key part of the course. Learners are supervised closely throughout and are expected to demonstrate safe technique, treatment planning, professional standards and appropriate documentation. The amount and type of practical work will depend on the course, learner suitability, model suitability and the treatment being taught.

Do I need to bring models?

No. Models are normally arranged for suitable courses. You may be able to arrange for a suitable friend or family member to join the models if you prefer, but this must be agreed with us in advance. All models must be assessed for suitability and must complete the required consultation and consent process.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes. You will receive a CPD certificate confirming the course completed, training hours and practical assessment outcome. Certificates confirm completion of training. They do not replace the need for appropriate insurance, ongoing practice, professional judgement or working within your own scope of competence.

What happens if I am not signed off as competent on the day?

Practical assessment is based on your performance during training. If further development is needed, this will be discussed honestly with you, along with the most appropriate next steps before treating independently. This may include further practice, additional support, a refresher session, case review or further training, depending on the course and your individual progress.

Will I get ongoing support after training?

Yes. Ongoing support is available after training for questions related to the course content, treatment planning, documentation and progressing safely in practice.

Support is intended to help you consolidate learning. It does not replace insurance advice, medical advice, emergency support, prescribing advice or further formal training where required.

Do I need insurance before attending the course?

You do not usually need insurance in place before attending training, but you should check early what your insurer will require before you begin treating clients afterwards. Insurance requirements vary between providers, treatment types and learner backgrounds. It is your responsibility to confirm that your insurer will recognise your training and cover you for the treatments you intend to offer.

Can I start treating clients straight after the courses?

You may only begin offering treatments once you have appropriate insurance in place, feel competent to practise safely, have the correct products, equipment and documentation, and are working within your own scope of competence. Completion of a course does not automatically guarantee insurance approval or independent competence. You remain responsible for practising safely, legally and professionally.

Are your courses suitable for non-medics?

Generally yes if the entry requirements are met and the learner can obtain appropriate insurance. Suitability depends on the individual course, the learner’s background and their intended treatment pathway. If you are unsure, contact us before booking.

What is the A&P Readiness Module?

The A&P Readiness Module is a pre-study module designed to help learners prepare for practical training where they do not already hold Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology or Beauty Level 3. It supports basic understanding before the practical training day, but it does not replace formal qualifications where these are required by a course, insurer or future regulator.

How do I book?

Simply send us a message on 07902 245304 and we can help you choose the right course, confirm suitability and arrange your training date.

How do I pay?

A 30% deposit is paid by bank transfer when booking to secure your training date. Any remaining balance is paid on the day of training by bank transfer, cash or card.

What is your academy cancellation policy?

Deposit refunds depend on the amount of notice given: 14+ days: 100% refund, 7 to 14 days: 75% refund, 48 hours to 7 days: 50% refund, 24 to 48 hours: 25% refund, Under 24 hours: no refund. If a model becomes unsuitable or unavailable, we will discuss the most appropriate option with you. This may include adapting the practical element, arranging an alternative model where possible, or rescheduling the practical element if required.
