What Is "Botox"? Is It Right For Me? Do I Need Botox? What Does It Do?

Let’s clear a few things up.
No, "Botox" isn’t just for celebrities. It's for all genders. No, it won’t freeze your face if it’s done properly. And yes, it might just be the glow-up you didn’t know you needed.
So… what actually is “Botox”?
“Botox” is actually just one of the main brand names for botulinum toxin, it’s become part of everyday language (a bit like saying Hoover instead of vacuum). But don’t let the scary name put you off.
Botulinum toxin has been used safely in medicine for decades, not just for aesthetics, but also for treating migraines, eye twitching, excessive sweating and more.
In the aesthetics world, a few tiny injections relax specific facial muscles, softening the lines caused by movement (known as dynamic wrinkles). Think frown lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet, the works.
Will I look frozen?
Only if you ask to. (And even then, I will ask why.)
I specialise in natural, balanced results, the kind where your friends say “You look fresh,” but can’t quite put their finger on why.
At Mr Beautox Aesthetics Worthing, anti-wrinkle treatment can be used in a range of areas, including:
Frown lines (the 11’s between the brows)
Forehead lines
Crow’s feet (around the eyes)
Bunny lines (at the sides of the nose)
Brow lift tweaks
Lip flip (yes, really)
Chin dimpling
Masseter
Downturned mouth corners
Nose tip lift
Under-eye jelly roll
Neck bands
Excessive sweating, such as the underarms
Is "Botox" safe?
When administered by a trained and insured practitioner (hi 👋), Botox is considered very safe. I only use premium products, in a clinical setting, with full consultation and follow-up included.
How long does it last?
Results typically kick in around 3–10 days after treatment and last about 3–4 months. Some people find it lasts longer with regular use.
Is it right for me?
"Botox" isn’t about changing your face, it’s about softening what you already have and restoring confidence. If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and thought, “I just look a bit tired,” this might be your solution.
Still unsure?
That’s what consultations are for. There’s no pressure and no obligation, just a chance to talk through what you’re looking for and see if it’s a fit.
